Squamous Cell Carcinoma...

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common skin cancer in the U.S. Close to one million cases are diagnosed and treated each year. It is usually found on the sun exposed areas of skin (head and neck, arms and hands). It is most common in those over 50 years of age.

It usually presents as a crusty red area but can also be a rde or pink bump. The primary treatment for SCC is surgical removal.
